Carmine Saccu
Carmine Saccu is a child neuropsychiatrist, family therapist, and former Professor of the faculty of Child Neuropsychiatry at the Sapienza University in Rome. He has carried out clinical activities for many years as head of the family therapy service. He also carried out didactic analysis at the Roman Institute of Psychoanalysis. Since 1975, he has been active in the teaching, training, and supervision of family therapists. Carmine is a family therapy pioneer who started his work at the beginning of the 1970s in Rome when he founded the Center for the Study of Systems Communication. He is a founding member of the Institute of Family Therapy (ITF), The Italian Society of Family Therapy (SITF), The Italian Society of Psychology and Relational Psychotherapy (SIPPR), The Italian Federation of Psychotherapy Associations (FIAP), the Institute for Systemic Mediation Onlus (IsMeS), The European Family Therapy Association (EFTA), and founder and current director of the Roman School of Family Psychotherapy.
